Dear friends in Christ,

I want to give you an update on our stewardship drive. Thank you to all who have pledged!

 We have received forty-two pledges for a total amount pledged of $257,324. We are within $47,000.00 of our goal of $300,000.00.

I would like to remind everyone that the money you pledge is the financial life-blood of our church. Along with your very important contributions of time and talent, your pledges make it possible for us to serve the Lord and spread the love of God.

I urge those of you who have not yet pledged to do so. Giving is an important aspect of our spiritual health. It is a concrete way we say that we trust in God’s providence.

Once you have pledged, we take that amount and plan our budget, and so, it is important to complete the pledges you make. If you know that you will not be able to complete your pledge, it would be very helpful if you would contact me and let me know. Life happens, and I do not judge. Also, if you are in need of financial assistance, I may be able to in some small way.

Giving should bring joy. If it does not you have either not pledged enough, or have pledged too much. Ask God to help you discern your pledge amount.
