A Season of Fellowship, Service, and Blessing
Dear friends in Christ,
There is a lot happening this month at Christ the King. Tomorrow is our fundraiser, Bingo Night! I encourage you all to come and join in the fun. A professional Bingo caller will lead us through fifteen rounds of Bingo. We have fourteen prizes valued over $100.00. The fifteenth prize is $600.00 worth of gift cards to businesses and restaurants. We also have one raffle for 100 scratch-off tickets. Come try you luck! You must be present to win.
I want to thank our Bingo Committee for their exceptional work and dedication to making our fundraiser successful. When you see them, please thank Diane and Bruce Newport, Janice Hardy, Rachel Shay, Robert Soard, Barbara Goodson, Melissa Reabold, and Rachel Shadeed. I thank all of you who have donated and/or purchased our early bird special. We have already made enough to cover our expenses.
Sunday, we begin our program year with Rally Day. We will all have the opportunity to see the ministries of this congregation, and to volunteer to help where we feel called. There is an urgent need in some ministries for new volunteers.
Children’s Sunday school will be between services. Adult education will begin between services October 11th.
The feast of St Francis falls on Sunday, October 4th. We will have a guest preacher that day, and at 4:00 p.m. we will hold the Blessing of the Animals service.
